Grand Opening of the ISC Section

St. Anthony’s School, Giddapahar, Kurseong got affiliation in the year 1997 to the CISCE Board. The school got a Co-ed affiliation and was initially started with boys’ and girls’ but the then Principal was not comfortable with the co-educational system of education and after three years the school turned into a boys’ school. But immense pressure from the parents resulted in opening a completely new girls’ wing under the able guidance of Mrs B. Tewari in the year 2000. The Principal, Mr. C. Tewari, an educationist, thought to upgrade the school to a Higher Secondary level and the milestone was achieved on May 2014 when the Council awarded the permission to open the class XI. The achievement was applauded in the presence of invitees namely Col T. Parnell, the chief guest, Mr Wangdi Tshering Bhutia, guest of honour, Director Mr C.S. Tewari, Directress’ Mrs Kanta Tewari and distinguished guests as well as Teachers & Students.
